Hey my lovely moonchildren!
I know, I’ve been slacking majorly on posting on my blog, but I do have very good reasons.
First and foremost, my amazing puppy that Tommy got me a couple weeks ago has been taking up every waking moment I am not at work. Between training to go to the bathroom outside, not to bite, and what everything in this big scary world is, Piper has become a second job, but a job I wouldn’t give up for anything in the world. It’s given me a glimpse into what many of my friends with children have gone through – the sleepless nights, the crying, the endless poops, but so, so, so much love.
Secondly, I obtained a side-job with a lovely magazine here in London called ShelfLife. They’re a monthly distributed book review magazine, and I was lucky enough to meet the gentleman that began this wonderful publication. I am given brand new books and asked to write up a small review and then rate the book on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. Every month the publication is published and distributed to all the book stores, libraries and public places here in London.
Third, I have been working really hard on my other blog. This blog is something that has been a culmination of years of research and personal work. It’s still not public, and I am not even sure when or if I will post it publically as I have a psycho person who thinks everything I do has to be about her, and she’ll make anything I post about her, even when it isn’t. I won’t deny there have been some sub-tweets to her, just to see how quickly she is stalking my posts and writes back or makes a snarky comment about what I am doing in my life. It’s just gone to prove that what ever I do, she’ll always be watching even when she tries to say she doesn’t and “doesn’t care”. The proof that what she says and what she does are two completely different things are on her twitter, and in screenshots from so many of her followers who have noticed the same thing have sent me.
Finally, I joined the amazing, always growing, bookstagram community! I have been following a few bookstagrams on my personal instagram for a few months now and I always thought it was a wonderful idea but never knew if I should get myself involved. I would every once and a while upload photos to my personal page of books I was reading and do reviews of it, I would post photos of my new book stacks after a major purchasing spree at local bookshops, and so much more. I finally sat there and decided one day, despite what anyone would think or say, I wanted to be a part of such an amazing community, and I am so glad I took the chance. I’ve met some amazing people and some wonderful women who I feel will end up being life long friends. People from near and far are commenting and interacting with me and I’ve never felt more at home in an online community before. Feel free to check out my bookstagram here
